Aral Sea- Dusty Coral, silver micro shimmer, holographic. Buttery style formula, 2 coats for full coverage.

Once one of the biggest lakes in the world, years of irrigation diversion has left most of the lake empty. The deep blue waters have been replaced with the pinks and tans of salt and sand. An environmental disaster of awe inspiring proportions, it also possesses a tragic beauty, the vibrant activity of the lake now replaced with the eerie calmness of the desert.

The Deosai Plains- Dusty Sage green, medium sized shifting red/gold shimmer, sparse violet shimmer, medium density holographic. Thicker style formula, 2 coats for full coverage.

Although not located in one of the 5 “true” Stans, the Deosai plains of Pakistan are a wondrous place in the spring. Butterflies swarm and wildflowers and grasses thrive on a vast plateau over 13,000′ high.

Fergana Valley- Dusty Denim Light Purple, Pink/Violet micro shimmer, Hint of silver micro shimmer, medium/low density holographic, 2-3 coats for full coverage.

This Fergana Valley has an ancient history of agriculture. In an area that is otherwise dry and inhospitable, the fertile and moist lands of the valley have long attracted immigrants and invaders. The prosperity of the valley led to the meetings of many civilizations and eventually became an important stop on the Silk Road.

Pamir Mountains- Delicate light blue, violet micro shimmer, pink micro shimmer, medium/low density holographic, 2-3 coats for full coverage

Known as the Roof of the World, the Pamir Mountains have very active glaciers due to the considerable snowfall the area receives. Mudflows, dust storms, extreme temps and frequent severe storms combine with 2,500 earthquakes a year to make the area treacherous and the terrain ever changing.

Seven Bulls- Cornflower blue, sparse blue shimmer, sparse, sparse silver micro shimmer, medium/low density holographic, butter style formula 2 easy coats for full coverage.

Expansive high plains and impressive red rock formations give the skies over Jeti-Ögüz a surreal shade of cornflower blue.

Yangykala Canyons- Medium mushroom taupe, violet sometimes blue micro shimmer, low density holographic. Thinner style formula, 2-3 coats for full coverage. Similar in color to Elevation Polish Khongoryn Els

High plateaus give way to deep canyons from ancient oceans. Remote and inhospitable, millions of years of wind and rain eroded the land, leaving behind a banded canyon of epic proportions and beauty.

Spring has officially sprung! Yayyy!!! After a mainly snow-less winter in Minnesota, we are ready to get on to warmer weather activities. The snow gear is put away and our camping gear is starting to sprawl again! In honor of spring we thought it good timing to introduce our “The Stans” Collection. Sandwiched between some of the highest mountains, the countries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan contain vast tracks of deserts and steppe grasslands. When spring arrives, the land begins to change from dry and drab, and as the earth soaks up the heat and moisture it slowly starts to green and bloom. The dusty tones of rocks and desert persist though and the subdued landscapes contrast greatly with the big open skies. We hope you enjoy the collection!

Starting something new can be daunting but it always starts with a single step, so we thought it fitting that we would bring in 2017 with the “I’ll Take the Stairs” collection! The inspirations for this month are stairs from locations around the world. Some modern, some ancient, some wild, some civilized, each of these stairs are places that inspire us to keep taking the next step!

Summer is the unofficial start to road tripping season and this month’s collection is inspired by the roads so epic that they are adventures and destinations all by themselves. Looking over our archive we noticed that our less traveled roads were pinks and purples. So in this collection we thought it only fitting we explore those colors and try to make the polishes as unique and adventurous as the roads that inspired them.
