Colonial Spain scoured the Fjords of Patagonia in search of the City of Caesars. The fact that many of the fjords are navigable channels increased the desire to explore and chart the area.

Geirangerfjord- Green leaning teal with on tone green/aqua/gold micro shimmer. Light buttery formula. 2 coats for full coverage.

One of Norway’s most popular tourist atractions, this picturesque fjord is home to many waterfalls and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Hardangerfjord- Our favorite summer cornflower blue with on tone blue/aqua/light gold micro shimmer. Light buttery formula. 2 coats for full coverage.

One of the longest fjords in the world, it reaches over 100 miles into Norway and has had weekly cruise ships visiting since the mid 19th century.

Howe Sound- Navy duochrome blue shift to purple (extreme shift to green, rare) medium/low density holographic. Thinner stye formula. 1 coat over black, 3 coats on it’s own for full coverage.

A network of fjords just off Vancouver, it is filled with mountainous islands and views of the Coast Mountains. Once home to the largest copper mine in the British Empire, it is still recovering from its industrial past.

Ilulissat Icefjord- Blue denim base with platinum micro flake shimmer and platinum medium sized flake shimmer. Thinner style formula. 2-3 coats for full coverage.

The most productive glacier in the Northern Hemisphere resides within this fjord. The result is that icebergs over 1km high will travel this fjord, disintegrating as they travel far to the south.

Russel Fjord- Lavender creme base with hidden sparse holographic shimmer, sparse gold micro flake shimmer. Buttery formula. 2 coats for full coverage. First coat will be patchy.

This Alaskan fjord is continually threatened by the Hubbard Glacier’s steady advance. Cut off several times in recent history, this fjord will be sealed off with ice from the glacier creating a new lake, and a new eco-system within it.

INSPIRATION:
The inspiration for this month’s collection is Fantastic Fjords! Sea, land, and ice meet, creating deep cut cliffs, panoramic valleys, and astounding views. Their narrow and winding passages entranced early explorers looking for faster routes and hidden cities. Formed by the retreat of glaciers and the rise of ancient sea levels, fjords still fascinate and inspire in modern times. We hope you enjoy the collection!
