We love browns, taupes and nudes colors here at elevation. It’s the first colors most of us think of when it comes to the desert landscape. We were researching deserts for the collection. It was a treat to our eyes and much a surprise that deserts are full of life and color.
Atacama Desert blooms is a great example. The driest place on earth usually isn’t full of bright colors. This past year October of 2015 something rare and beautiful happened. It rained. .96 inches in a day providing water to the usually dormant desert flowers. The desert bursted with pink and purple blooms. Some websites say this only happens every 5-7 years.
You can see pictures & read more about the Atacama Desert bloom here at National Geographic’s website
We hope you enjoy our take on deserts.
